As senior vice president and general counsel for Clearwater Paper Corporation, a NYSE listed company, Michael Gadd brings extensive expertise and experience in corporate governance to the Second Harvest boardroom.
Gadd, who is married and has two children, advises managers, executives and the board of directors at Clearwater Paper as to legal and governance matters affecting the company. He grew up in the Midwest and has lived on both sides of the country. He has worked for 20 years as an attorney in private practice and in-house. Gadd holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of South Carolina, a master of business administration from the University of Washington and a juris doctor from the University of Michigan.
Gadd was inspired to give back to others by his stepfather and father-in law, who were both very active volunteers while they were alive. “Among the issues I strongly believe in is that in a country as materially well off as ours, no one should go hungry,” Gadd said.
